The Aspiravi Group decided in 2005 to also construct offshore wind farms in the North Sea. This is done by Aspiravi Offshore and Aspiravi Offshore II.

Aspiravi Offshore NV has realized the construction of the Northwind Wind Farm in the North Sea. This wind farm, with a total installed capacity of 216 MW, has been operational since mid-2014 and produces green electricity equivalent to the average annual consumption of 230,000 households.

Aspiravi Offshore is a shareholder of Cabelco (23.6%) via Northwind. Cableco owns the export cable connecting the mainland with the sea-based high voltage cabin.

Aspiravi Offshore is also a direct shareholder of A&P Wind Services (50%) which is in charge of operational and financial management of Northwind and Cableco.

Aspiravi Offshore II is involved in the Rentel, Mermaid and Seastar offshore wind farms which will be realized in the North Sea during the period 2017-2020.

Aspiravi Offshore II owns a 12.5% stake in Otary RS:
a consortium of 8 Belgian parties jointly investing in offshore projects in the North Sea. Aspiravi Offshore II participates indirectly via Otary and directly in the offshore projects Rentel (12.5%), Seastar (12.5%) and Mermaid (8%) in the Belgian North Sea. Construction of the Rentel project will begin in 2017.
